BARBARA RANDOLPH
and her journey through Mo-Town

Barbara Randolph was born in Detroit Michigan May, 5, 1942 to Lillian Randolph-McKee.

Her mother Lillian Randolph who was a hollywood actress and starred in many movies and television shows such as "Amos 'n' Andy", "It's A Wonderful Life", "Sanford and Son", "The Jeffersons", and many more.

Barbara in the shadow of her mother wanted to become an entertainer.

Barbara started her music career with Mo-town during the 60's. When Tammi Terrel fell ill from brain cancer she soon filled in for Tammi touring around with Marvin Gaye as his part time partner. Again in 1964 standing in for 'The Platters" when Zola Taylor took on her solo career. And rumored to be the replacement for Florence Ballad of the Supremes by Berry Gordy but lead singer Diana Ross refused. While at motown Barbara had to major hits "I Got A Feeling" and "You Got Me Hurting All Over"

Barbara Randolph soon left Motown and married Eddie Singleton. Moved to the UK and released her album of hits that were never released in America, and became a Radio Dj.

Little was heard from Barbara Randolph after these events.
Barbara Died July 15th 1980.

Her Legacy Will Always Live Whether Known or Unknown

Not only was she a great singer in her little career time with Motown, she helped historic artist continue to grow and be known throughout time with little credit given to her. If it wasn't for her the world would probably not have known Marvin Gaye, or The Platters when they fell do to unstoppable causes.
